Dig into the musical history of any nation and you’ll find a golden kernel of sound; beautiful, unique, intoxicating and booty-shaking in nature.

In this mix series, a network of intrepid explorers traverse some of that sonic territory. Their mission is simple: use a random generator to select a country, get digging and come back with a mix based on what they’ve found.

Our goal is to break free from our geographic silos and highlight some of the scenes, sounds and styles that have been overlooked on the world stage. At the same time, we’ll chart unashamedly idiosyncratic routes through the terrain – filtering our discoveries through our own peculiar tastes and perspectives.
